Phase 02, Architect

We design the system before anyone writes production code: which models, which data, what stays in house and what we buy.

Typical duration

2 to 3 weeks

Phase 02

The decisions that are expensive to reverse.

Architecture is the set of choices that cost the most to undo. We make them deliberately, in writing, with the trade offs visible, so nobody discovers the constraints six weeks into a build.

This phase also does the groundwork for approval. Your security, data and risk teams see the design while it is still a document rather than a running system.

What happens

The work inside this phase.

Three workstreams, run in parallel, each with a fixed deliverable you can review.

01

Target architecture

The shape of the system end to end: models, retrieval, orchestration, interfaces and the environments it runs in, drawn to fit the platforms you already operate.

02

Build vs buy decisions

An honest comparison of building, buying or configuring each component, with the run cost, the lock in and the internal capability every option leaves behind.

03

Security and data review

Data flows, access boundaries, retention and logging are specified and walked through with your security and risk teams before build starts, not after.

Next step
